Nour-Omid is chairman and CEO of below-the-line business dot-com StudioXChange, which recently sold to Netcaster iFilm.
Nour-Omid will guide the technology-focused investments for both the Shelter Ventures Incubator and its venture capital fund, evaluating technology-oriented investment opportunities and assess the viability of emerging technologies.

“I welcome the opportunity to bring my past experience in Silicon Valley to bear on emerging companies in Southern California,” Nour-Omid declared. Shelter was founded by partners Art Bilger and Kevin Wall. Bilger’s a former vice chairman of Akamai Technologies and former prexy of New World Communications; Wall was formerly an exec at iXL. Fund has $300 million.
Nour-Omid was founder and chief technology officer and director of Scopus Technology.
