Sriven swallows Station X

India-based Internet content creator Sriven Multi-Tech Limited has acquired Santa Monica, Calif.-based visual f/x house Station X Studios (“My Favorite Martian,” “Chevy Blazer”) as part of an undisclosed multimillion-dollar cash and stock deal.

Company will be renamed Station X Entertainment and will continue to create visuals for commercials, TV and features and Spider proprietary rendering software, while adding its f/x services to Sriven, which already also owns Webtoons Media, a Burbank-based 2-D animation house. Sriven’s Kumar Chadalavada will serve as Station X’s new CEO.
