AMSTERDAM — @Fun, the joint venture between Endemol Entertainment and SBS Broadcasting, a Dutch subsid of the pan-Euro channel launcher SBS, have inked a broad-ranging deal with Internet company Planet Media Group.
The deal, announced Wednesday, comes on the heels of another pact inked a day earlier between Disney Europe and Planet Media Group, a subsid of Dutch telecom KPN.
The @Fun deal calls for SBS and Endemol in cooperation with Planet Internet, a subsid of Planet Media Group, to bring an entertainment portal online that will allow Internet versions of SBS6 and second channel Net 5 programs.
The first program will be “The Bus” (De Bus), another fly-on-the-wall show cooked up between Endemol and SBS6. “Bus” is set to kick off Sunday, with the Internet version, debusop6.nl, following two days later.
The deals with Disney and @Fun both run for two years and under the agreements, Planet Media Group will also jointly develop advertising and marketing campaigns for the service.
