Cyberbiz brief

Musicbank pacted with EMI Recorded Music on Wednesday, completing the sweep of licensing agreements between the digital music Netco and the five major record labels. With these deals, Musicbank will allow Netizens to stream music they already own on CD from any Internet capable device. The San Francisco-based company, long seen as an alternative to MP3.com’s My.MP3.com service, intends to launch the service by the end of the month. In exchange for the license, EMI acquired an equity stake in the company.
