MGM Consumer Products, a unit of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, has bowed MGMstills.com, a site that allows Netizens to view, license and download high-resolution images from their 4,100 feature films.
The site targets television networks, book publishers, advertising agencies and anyone else interested in accessing the largest modern film collection in the world.
New users must complete a short registration form to access to the site. Upon approval, users can search for images of in the library by keyword, action director and genre. After perusing the films, downloading takes a couple of clicks.
MGM’s library is comprised of titles from MGM (after 1986), United Artists Pictures, Goldwyn Films, Orion Pictures and Polygram Filmed Entertainment, and includes Academy Award winners “Rocky,” “Platoon,” “Moonstruck,” “Rain Man,” “The Silence of the Lambs,” “Fargo” and “The Usual Suspects” and others.
MGM Consumer Products manages all of MGM’s retail and branding business as well as the worldwide licensing and merchandising of MGM and United Artists characters, properties and logos.
