Gen Y Netcaster iFuse has inked a deal to acquire L.A.-based College Broadcast (www.CB.com). Latter produces eight hours of original programming per week, 32 weeks a year for the On Cable Network, which is distributed to 250 college cable nets. College Broadcast CEO Chet Lyons will take a seat on iFuse’s board of directors. As a result of the acquisition, iFuse pinkslipped nine employees due to overlapping duties and iFuse’s departure from an Internet-only focus to that of a cross-media network, with print, cable, wireless and online arms.
