The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and celebrity-licensing company Global Icons have inked a deal to create a Web site for Hollywood Boulevard’s legendary Walk of Fame, which attracts 20 million visitors annually. Walkoffame.com will be created in conjunction with the 2,163 celebrities on the star-studded street. The companies plan to use the site to up the international presence for the tourist attraction and create foreign-language minisites for international stars. There is no official word whether the Hollywood Sign, a Global Icons client, will receive a site.
