Extreme inks to distribute ‘Bluetorch’

Broadband Interactive Group has inked a television distribution deal with media group Extreme Intl., formerly operating as X Dream Intl. Under the terms of the agreement, Extreme will distribute 200 one-hour episodes of BIG’s “Bluetorch TV” over the next two years. The daily extreme-sports show currently appears on Fox Sports Net. Extreme Intl. has offices in the U.K., the Netherlands and the U.S. Company, which has a 24-hour cable and satellite sports network seen in 14 countries, is also developing a broadband channel at www.extreme.com. Last week, BIG eliminated Bluetorch’s print magazines and reduced its online efforts by releasing 64 staffers to focus instead on its TV offerings.
