New-media production company ExtendMedia on Wednesday tapped former American Zoetrope prexy Fred Fuchs as executive producer.
Fuchs, who has acted as a consultant for ExtendMedia over the past year, will be charged with signing talent and original content for the company’s productions. Toronto-based ExtendMedia creates interactive content for TV, the Internet and wireless devices. The dot-com is repped by CAA.
“Fred has star-studded experience in film and television production,” said Keith Kocho, ExtendMedia founder and CEO. “His wide-ranging connections and technical expertise will be instrumental in fulfilling our strategy to expand our service offerings and to deliver next-generation interactive entertainment solutions to a wider customer base across North America.”
Fuchs said he will expand the L.A. office with an eye on introducing traditional entertainment to the possibilities of interactivity.
“With ExtendMedia’s proven leadership in interactive entertainment creation and production coupled with my experience in traditional production, I’m confident that we’ll redefine entertainment for broadcasters and consumers,” Fuchs said.
Some of Fuchs’ film credits while he was with American Zoetrope include “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,” “The Godfather Part III” and “The Rainmaker.”
