DC2 checks out CineBlast library

Internet content company Digital Creative Development Corp. has inked a deal to acquire the rights to CineBlast Prods.’ library of more than 20 indie pics. Acquisition was a stock and cash combo. Film titles include Sundance fave “Hurricane Streets” and “Kill By Inches.” DC2 will retain the rights to the CineBlast’s existing properties in development and post-production. CineBlast will produce eight films a year for the next three years. CineBlast’s next release is “Spring Forward,” which is being co-produced by singer Michael Stipe and stars Ned Beatty, Liev Schreiber and Campbell Scott.
