Trimark Pictures-backed Netcaster CinemaNow on Wednesday tapped Brad Serling chief technology officer.
Serling was previously veep of interactive at AnswerThink, where he developed interactive marketing ad campaigns for companies like Sony, Time Warner and Oracle.
“My background working with Fortune 500 clients to market packaged goods and traditional entertainment companies on the ’Net has direct application to broadband entertainment delivery,” Serling said. “By joining CinemaNow, I have the opportunity to leverage this experience in a new arena.”
Previous to AnswerThink, Serling was executive producer at On Ramp, where he worked in Web site design, multimedia content development and Web marketing.
Majority-owned by Trimark, Marina del Rey-based CinemaNow bills itself as an interactive community for independent filmmakers. In recent months company signed a licensing deal with fellow Netcaster Vidnet.com. Site also distributes titles from Trimark’s library over the ’Net.
“Brad’s proven record with AnswerThink makes him a welcome addition to our workforce; we anticipate that he will be one of the guiding forces at CinemaNow as we develop the site resources in the months ahead,” said CinemaNow CEO Curt Marvis.
