Will help develop VMI systems, worldwide DVD strategy

Seventeen-year Paramount Home Entertainment veteran Jack Kanne is being shifted from his duties as exec VP of sales and marketing to the newly created position of exec veep, international.

Senior VP of sales Meagan Burrows, a 15-year PHE vet, is being promoted to Kanne’s previous post.

Both will report directly to Eric Doctorow, worldwide prexy of PHE.

Kanne will work closely with Paramount’s international home entertainment division, led by Phil Jackson, to help develop effective vendor-managed inventory (VMI) systems and other new sales and distribution strategies. Kanne will also be involved in developing an integrated worldwide DVD strategy and worldwide Web-based product marketing and promotional strategies as well as streamlining Paramount’s processes and procedures.

In addition to managing all of PHE’s domestic sales and marketing, Burrows will oversee all home entertainment creative services, advertising, publicity, promotions and DVD.

“This restructuring is a natural evolution in our plans for growing our business and managing worldwide operations,” Doctorow said.
