Six-year William Morris Agency literary agent Sophy Holodnik has ankled the tenpercentery to ink a deal to become senior veepee of Sony-based Laura Ziskin Prods.
“It’s particularly exciting to get the chance to explore the film industry from a different perspective, as well as to have the opportunity to do something creative with someone I respect as much as Laura,” said Holodnik.
Ziskin ankled as topper of Fox 2000 in December and knew Holodnik as an agent while at William Morris.
“She was terrifically helpful and responsive as an agent,” said Ziskin. “Her talent relations, her taste and her enthusiasm for our new endeavor make her a great asset.”
While at WMA, Holodnik repped clients like “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, “Shine” scribe Jan Sardi and “Face/Off” and “The Mask” scribe Mike Werb.
Ziskin signed a three-year, non-exclusive production deal with Sony in December. Her company is developing “Jumanji II” from Jonathan Hensleigh; the Ron Bass-adapted suspenser “Murderer Next Door,” from the Rafael Yglesias novel; and an untitled original from “Awakenings” scribe Larry Lasker.
