HOLLYWOOD — Call it VP/G.M: The Next Generation. Fox has appointed Deborah Carpenter to vice president/general manager at Washington outlet WTTG.
Carpenter’s father, Bill, served as VP/G.M. at WTTG from 1971 to 1980. Carpenter moves to D.C. and follows in her father’s footsteps after a six-year stint at Fox-owned Chicago station WFLD, where she served as general sales manager since July 1994.
Before WFLD, she served as local sales manager at Chicago’s WPWR-TV. She started her career at WGN Chicago.
“Deborah possesses strong skills in television management and has played a significant job over the past six years strengthening WFLD’s advertising revenues,” said Mitch Stern, chair/CEO at Fox Television Stations.
