WIN ups Gordon to deputy chair

Exec has been with Oz Nine affil for 10 years

SYDNEY — Andrew Gordon has been appointed to the newly created position of deputy chair at WIN Corp., the rural Australian TV affiliate of Kerry Packer’s Nine Network.

WIN is one of Oz’s largest rural TV and radio groups and is chaired by former Paramount international president Bruce Gordon, who also owns TV production house Crawfords. The 28-year-old Andrew Gordon has been involved with WIN for the past 10 years, concentrating on radio for the past five.

Meantime, video distribution executive Martin Lyall has been tapped as Australasian vice president and managing director of Universal TV, replacing 23-year incumbent Pal Cleary, who retires in April.
