Insider Clarissa Weirick has been tapped veepee for business and legal affairs at Warner Bros. New Media.
In the newly created post, Weirick will be responsible for negotiating equity trans-actions with strategic partners. She will report to Kevin Tsujihara, exec veepee for new media at Warner Bros.
“Clarissa’s skilled pragmatism in the application of the legal component of our business development makes her an important addition to our rapidly expanding operation,” Tsujihara said.
Previously Weirick served as veepee and corporate legal counsel for Warner Bros., where she assisted in hammering out pacts with ReplayTV and OpenTV. She has been with Warner Bros. since 1997.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Weirick was an attorney with Fidelity Federal Bank.
