USA Films has revamped its publicity department, prompting four new hires and a trio of inhouse promotions.
Kristin Foster, senior director of publicity and special events for USA Home Entertainment, has crossed over to its sibling company, where she will serve as VP of national publicity on the East Coast.
Angela Johnson and Mark Markline were also hired as publicity directors. Johnson will focus on West Coast activities, while Markline will head all field offices across the country.
Joining Markline in field publicity is former Universal promotions coordinator Molly Martuza, who will act as field coordinator.
In addition, director of still photography Joanne Muellman was upped to director of national publicity; Kris Rich has segued from USA’s marketing department to the post of publicity coordinator, and Rachel Asche has been upped to East Coast publicity manager.
“Ever since the creation of USA last spring, we have been putting together a publicity team that will make an impact. Kristin has already made essential contributions to the success of USA Home Entertainment, and we expect that she will implement similar high-quality, results-oriented campaigns at USA Films,” said senior veep of publicity and promotions Adriene Bowles.
Foster will work closely with Home Entertainment executives in an effort to strengthen corporate communications between the two companies. Foster will be based in Gotham and report to veep of publicity Donna Dickman.
Johnson joins USA from Alliance Atlantis. Markline previously worked in publicity at MGM.
Previously, Asche served as manager of field publicity and promotions.
