NEW YORK — U.S.-based licensing, co-production and distribution company BBC Sales — a joint venture of the British Broadcasting Co. and Discovery Communications — has upped Julius Cain to VP of co-production and sales.
Continuing from his base in the company’s New Orleans office, Cain will retain responsibility for syndication and licensing of BBC shows to PBS affiliates with the added duty of expanding distribution to other U.S. stations. He will continue to report to BBC chief operating officer Candace Carlisle.
Cain moves from his position as director, BBC Sales. Prior to joining the BBC in 1985, he worked as director of broadcasting for PBS member station WYES and as director of programming at Mississippi Educational Television.
