Sessions to continue through Wednesday
Hollywood’s union actors and talent agents Thursday launched a week-long round of negotiations aimed at finalizing a new operating agreement for the tenpercenters.
Negotiators met for more than five hours at the headquarters of the Screen Actors Guild before adjourning at about 5:40 p.m. They reconvene at 9:30 this morning. SAG prexy William Daniels and the union’s chief negotiator, SAG associate national exec director John McGuire, attended the session, as did Assn. of Talent Agents chief Karen Stuart.
Both sides agreed to refrain from public comment about the substance of negotiations until talks are concluded. The sessions are due to continue through Wednesday.
