Monopole Pathe, Switzerland’s largest independent distributor, has pacted with Gordon Steel’s Los Angeles-based consultancy the Steel Co. for representation on a worldwide basis.
Steel previously worked with the Swiss distrib before the company was acquired by Polygram in 1997.
In conjunction with Pathe, Steel will be working with managing director Helene Cardis.
In addition, Steel is under contract to acquisition execs Dahlia Shapira from Israel’s Shapira Films and Naoko Tsukeda from Japan’s Pony Canyon.
“Working together again with these three specialists is a wonderful asset,” said Steel.
Other Steel Co. clients include VCL Film & Medien and StudioCanal. Steel also helped arrange Revolution Studios’ Japanese distribution through Pony Canyon and Toho Towa.
