Jody Silverman has been promoted to veep of business and legal affairs for Walt Disney Feature Animation.
Silverman reports to Kevin Breen, senior veep of business and legal affairs of feature animation, as well as to Lou Meisinger, executive veep and general counsel of the studio.
For Silverman’s new role, the Mouse House will expand the scope of his responsibilities to include all aspects of business and legal affairs related to feature animation.
“Jody has done a tremendous job in helping our feature animation team meet its ambitious goals over the past four years,” Breen said. “Her expertise in negotiating rights, writing and voice talent agreements for our animated movies has been a great asset to our efforts.”
Since January 1997, Silverman has served as director of business and legal affairs for feature animation. She began working for the Mouse House in 1995, as a lawyer in the animation business and legal affairs division.
