HOLLYWOOD — Praisery SSA has upped John Russel to president.
Russel’s promotion, which will be effective June 15, is one of a number of recent executive shuffles to occur in the PR firm’s L.A., Gotham and London offices.
“Those who know and work with John quickly come to appreciate his strong work ethic, total integrity and his complete dedication to client and reporter alike,” said company founder and CEO Steve Syatt.
Russel joined SSA in 1991, where he immediately assumed the role of VP. He was upped three years later to the post of senior veep before garnering the title of executive veep, which he held until recently.
Prior to SSA, Russel served as Western regional sales manager at Variety’s sister publication Broadcasting and Cable.
