Exec key in negotiating, enforcing film agreements
HOLLYWOOD — The Directors Guild of America has tapped attorney Susan Panepento as assistant Eastern executive director in its New York office.Panepento comes to the union after six years as an associate at the law firm of Cohen, Weiss and Simon, where she specialized in comprehensive representation of national and local unions, including litigation of claims under federal labor laws and administrative agencies. Prior to that, she served as a field examiner and then as an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. “Susan Panepento is an outstanding addition to the Guild’s management team in our Eastern regional headquarters,” said DGA national executive director Jay D. Roth, who made the announcement. “She will play a key role in negotiating and enforcing DGA film agreements in our New York office.” She will work under DGA Eastern executive director Christina Lomolino.
