Jon Hookstratten has been tapped executive veep of administration and operations for NBC Enterprises & Syndication.
Effective immediately, he reports to the Peacock’s newly appointed syndie division prexy Ed Wilson.
“I am excited that Jon has agreed to play a key role for our team as we work toward establishing a top-flight domestic distribution operation and strengthening our existing businesses,” said Wilson.
Hookstratten will oversee all biz affairs and ancillary biz connected to NBC’s owned products, including homevideo, licensing, merchandising and music.
Hookstratten served as senior VP of biz affairs for CBS Enterprises, where he oversaw all biz affairs and contractual issues related to the division’s domestic distribution activities.
Prior to working at the Eye, Hookstratten practiced law at his private law firm, where he oversaw the negotiation of contracts, related issues and affairs for clients such as Carson Prods., with responsibility for the company’s network series (including NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson”), video production and distribution.
