NEW YORK — MTV Networks has tapped Alfredo Richard VP of corporate communications and public responsibility. He replaces Jeannie Kedas, who recently moved over to MTV’s programming publicity department.
Richard will work with MTV Networks’ corporate communication teams on projects relating to its executive, research, affiliate and advertising activities. He will also support MTV Networks’ international communications team and expand its internal communication programs. Richard will report to Carole Robinson, exec VP of communications for MTV Networks.
“Besides years of experience in entertainment communications, Alfredo brings to our team the insight of having worked in one of our international operations and a true passion for social responsibility,” Robinson said. “He’ll not only be a great addition, but also a great resource for our partners in the media and the community.”
Previously, Richard was senior director of public relations and marketing communications for MTV Latin America. In that post, he oversaw business, trade and programming media relations. Richard was instrumental in developing MTV Latin America’s Youth Forums and its pro-social campaign “Voces.”
