NEW YORK — MTV Networks has upped Elli Cola to VP of music and talent while expanding the responsibilities of Michele Megan Dix, VP of music and talent programming.
In her new position, Cola, who was previously director of music and talent, will act as a liaison between talent and the production department as well as oversee daily bookings on MTV specials and series such as “TRL,” “Beat Suite” and “MTV Jams.”
Dix, who will continue to oversee music talent on MTV specials, will take on additional chores, developing new performance and talent-based shows and serving as coordinating producer on the cabler’s video awards show.
Both execs will continue to report to senior VP of music and talent Tom Calderone in MTV’s New York headquarters.
“Elli has been a huge asset to this department and to the entire company, developing strong relationships with artists and more,” said Calderone. “Michele has made her voice and vision heard, contributing invaluable creative ideas to the MTV music programming team.”
Cola has been with MTV since 1989, having worked as an assistant in the marketing department before moving over to the music division in 1990. Dix joined MTV in 1995 as director of music and talent.
