Harlem theater's workers get representation

HOLLYWOOD — The Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has organized all “front-of-house” employees at the legendary Apollo Theatre in Gotham.

IATSE announced it won a 37-0 vote over the weekend in favor of union representation. The unit will consist of ushers, restroom attendants, maintenance employees, concession employees and box office employees.

The organizing drive was headed by Intl. rep Ronnie Lynch with help from Local 306 business manager Susan Martin and secretary-treasurer Joel Dietch and Samantha Dulaney of the Spivak Firm.
