Granada Entertainment USA has upped Gary M. Robinson to the post of executive VP of biz and legal affairs.
Based at the production company’s Brentwood headquarters, Robinson, who previously held the title of senior veep of biz and legal affairs, will continue to oversee company’s domestic business and financial and legal operations. In addition, he will work on the strategic development of Granada’s production output in the U.S.
“This well-deserved promotion reflects the key role Gary has played in Granada Entertainment USA’s growth over the last three years,” the company’s acting prexy Antony Root said Tuesday.
“Gary is an aggressive dealmaker and is making a vital contribution to the development of our business strategy in North America.”
Robinson, who joined the company upon its inception in 1997, has negotiated deals for Granada USA series and movies, including Showtime’s “Beggars and Choosers” and NBC’s “Cold Feet.”
In recent years, Robinson has held biz affairs posts at ICM, MGM/UA Telecommunications Co. and Dick Clark Prods.
