Judy Guarino has been upped to senior VP, international licensing, for the Jim Henson Co.

In her new position, Guarino will continue to manage all Jim Henson Co. brands globally and introduce new entertainment properties.

Before joining Henson in 1992, Guarino served as senior merchandise coordinator for Gant.

Riffage.com has tapped five new members to its exec management team. Robert Saltmarsh has been named chief financial officer; Jason Rubinstein, veep of streaming media; Scott Fey, VP of sales; Scott Maddux, director of product development; and Marvin Sanders, director of artist relations.

Fox Family Channel named Bo LaMotte regional veep, Atlanta.

In his new post, LaMotte will oversee the Southeast region’s affiliate sales and national account distribution efforts for both Fox Family Channel and the new digital networks boyzChannel and girlzChannel.

Previously, LaMotte served as director of affiliate relations for Comedy Central.

Belo has upped Marian Spitzberg to senior veep, human resources.

In her new role, Spitzberg will work closely with Robert W. Decherd, Belo’s chairman, prexy and chief exec officer, and members of the Company’s management committee.

Spitzberg joined Belo as assistant general counsel in 1992 and was most recently the company’s veep, deputy counsel and secretary.

Brian Bracco has been tapped group news exec for Hearst-Argyle Television.

In his new role, Bracco will work with a group of Hearst-Argyle television stations’ news departments to strengthen their competitive position in their respective markets.

Previously, Bracco was news director of WTVN-TV Columbus, Ohio, and WBRC-TV Birmingham, Ala.

Marla Messing, 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup prexy and CEO, has been tapped veep of partner marketing for Broadband Sports.

“Marla is an amazing woman who helped build Women’s World Cup soccer into an extraordinary business,” stated CEO Richard Nanula.

Tanya Brown has been upped to creative director, urban, for Famous Music.

Brown joined Famous Music in 1998 as a creative assistant. Previously, she was an A&R assistant at Def Jam Records and at Uptown/MCA.

“During her time at Famous, Tanya has proven that she has a good ear for talent and music, knows what’s going on in the streets and is a highly motivated professional,” said Brian Postelle, senior creative director, urban.

Carsey-Werner has upped James Kraus to the newly created post of exec VP and general sales manager of domestic TV.

Kraus will oversee domestic sales operations, with all sales offices and personnel reporting directly to him. He joined the company last year as senior VP and regional sales manager after a long stint at RCA/Universal TV.

Kraus will remain based in Gotham.

Robert J. Wynne, former co- prexy and chief operating officer of Sony Pictures Entertainment, has been named to Netro Corp.’s board of directors.

For the past five years, Wynne worked at Sony Pictures, focusing on the company’s broadband strategy.

Lifetime has named Paul Jennings as senior VP of finance for Lifetime Entertainment Services.

In his new position, Jennings will be responsible for Lifetime’s accounting operations, finance, treasury and strategic planning.

Most recently VP of strategic planning, Jennings joined Lifetime in 1990 as director of financial reporting and budgeting. Prior to that, Jennings worked at Pricewaterhouse as an audit manager in the entertainment division.

Todd Tarpley has been upped to VP of A&E Television Network Interactive.

In his new post, Tarpley will manage AETN Interactive and its six Web sites, which just launched last month. In addition, he will be in charge of expanding A&E’s broadband and interactive television initiatives.

Previously director of AETN Interactive, Tarpley joined the cabler in 1993 helping to develop and launch the History Channel.

EnterTech Media Group has tapped Gregory L. Stuart exec veep, worldwide productions and distribution.

Stuart will oversee production and international distribution and acquisition of features.

Previously, Stuart worked for Cineville Intl. where he served as exec VP, worldwide production and distribution.

Capitol Records has tapped Dave Sholin VP of pop promotion. He will be part of Capitol’s overall radio game plan including scheduling of releases, single selection and format strategy.

Sholin began his career as an on-air personality at KFRC San Francisco, where he was part of the programming team that led KFRC to station of the year honors for seven consecutive years.

Universal has tapped Brian Rogers VP, finance and administration, Universal Creative. Rogers formerly served as senior director, finance, and will now oversee financial control and reporting; estimating and scheduling functions; and cost tracking and administrative policies for the company.

Before joining U, Rogers was a member of the finance team at Sony Development.
