Mark De Vitre has been upped to general manager of Fox Movie Channel and senior VP of operations of FX Networks, the company announced Wednesday.
De Vitre moves from his position as head of FX business affairs. As Fox Movie Channel general manager, De Vitre will oversee day-to-day management, business and new media opportunities, and the network’s relationship to 20th Century Fox Film Corp.
As FX Networks senior veep, a newly created position, he’ll be responsible for managing the business operations of the FX cable network.
“De Vitre has played a key role in the strategic and management direction of FX and Fox Movie Channel,” said FX Networks prexy Peter Liguori, to whom De Vitre will report. “He has a strong understanding of both networks.”
Prior to joining Fox, De Vitre was director of business and legal affairs for WarnerVision Entertainment and Warner Home Video. He was also director of business affairs at Philips Interactive Media.
