NEW DELHI — Creative Eye, a Mumbai-based TV production company, is launching a 24-hour tele-shopping channel, expanding studio facilities and building information and general entertainment Internet portals. To finance these new ventures, Creative Eye is going public in India on the Mumbai Stock Exchange in April. The company plans to raise $30 million.
Formed in 1986, Creative Eye had mainly been in the business of producing programs for national broadcaster Doordarshan. It currently has around 21 hours of programming per week on air on various Doordarshan channels, including hit “Om Namah Shivay,” which draws more than $250,000 of advertising revenue per week on Doordarshan.
