HOLLYWOOD — Karen Corbin, Tribune Entertainment’s senior veep of programming and development, has ankled to pursue independent TV production opportunities. She will step down Friday.
“Karen has made significant contributions to the success of Tribune Entertainment throughout her tenure here,” said Tribune prexy and CEO Dick Askin.
“Her vision in identifying quality projects has resulted in some of syndication’s strongest programs.”
Corbin, who joined Tribune in 1994, oversaw all of the company’s program development and production, including sci-fi show “Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda” and actioner “BeastMaster.”
“It’s been wonderful working with everyone,” Corbin said. “While I leave … will very much miss the people that I’ve worked with here, I greatly look forward to embarking on this next chapter in my career.”
