Jessika Borsiczky will head the production and development slates at Jan De Bont’s Blue Tulip Prods. She will report to De Bont and his partner, Lucas Foster.
Borsiczky was most recently VP production at Disney-based Paul Schiff Prods. She was also a director of development at HBO NYC Prods., where she worked on the critically acclaimed “If These Walls Could Talk” and the Emmy award-winning “Miss Evers’ Boys” starring Alfre Woodard.
De Bont said, “She brings a great depth of production experience to us having worked on many well-respected projects.”
Among the projects currently on Blue Tulip’s plate are “Librium,” which is being produced in association with Dimension Films; the ecological thriller “Dust,” which will be produced in association with Village Roadshow and Warner Bros.; and “Paperboy,” an MGM project that is expected to be the English-language debut for Oscar-winning Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar (“All About My Mother”).
