Baumgarten percenting again, now at Endeavor

Vet brings Goldman, McNaughton

Zigzagging from management to agenting to management, 3 Arts’ Spencer Baumgarten has returned once more to agenting.

Baumgarten, who most recently served a 14-month stint as a manager at 3 Arts Entertainment, has inked with the 5-year-old talent and literary ten-percentery Endeavor.

Baumgarten brings to the shop a list of clients that includes directors Ted Witcher (“Love Jones”), Gore Verbinski (“Mouse Hunt”) and video/movie helmer Hype Williams. Also joining him at Endeavor are scribe Gary Goldman (“Minority Report,” “Total Recall”) and commercials helmer Steve Chase. He will also continue to rep director (and already an Endeavor client) John McNaughton (“Wild Things”), whom he had managed at 3 Arts.

“As a manager I was able to see how effective these guys are,” Baumgarten said in a statement. “They are building something very exciting.”

Previous to his joining 3 Arts in January 1999, he served as an agent for 3½ years at the William Morris Agency, repping clients such as helmer Geoffrey Wright (who helms USA Films and Good Machine’s upcoming thriller “Cherry Falls”) and Tom Dey, (who helmed Disney’s upcoming Jackie Chan actioner “Shanghai Noon.”).

Prior to joining WMA, Baumgarten worked for two years with management shingle Addis-Wechsler, which has subsequently reflagged as Industry Entertainment.
