Artists Television Group has signed a first-look development deal with urban clothing designers FUBU regarding potential TV series, feature film and video production projects.
Under the deal, FUBU’s Stephen Belafonte will exec produce all projects that come out of the collaboration. FUBU heads Daymond John, Keith Perrin, Carl Brown and J. Martin will also be involved in creating properties for ATG.
Any concepts, presentations, formats, scripts and talent that come out of the deal will first pass through ATG.
“ATG and ‘Team FUBU’ share the same vision — to be innovators who can reach out to new audiences and into new communications channels,” ATG prexy/CEO Eric Tannenbaum said. “We know the FUBU creativity will successfully translate into a wide range of entertainment-based endeavors, and we’re thrilled to partner with them on those activities.”
FUBU distributes sportswear and formalwear.
Deal was brokered by ATG chief operating officer Sandra Stern, L. Londell McMillan and FUBU’s Larry Blenden.
