AMC Entertainment Inc. has promoted veteran executive Craig R. Ramsey to the post of chief financial officer.
“Craig has been a great contributor on the AMC finance team for the past five years,” said Peter Brown, chairman and chief executive officer. “His experience and in-depth knowledge of the company and the industry will be important resources for our continuing growth.”
Ramsey, who had been senior vice president, finance, fills a slot that had been vacant since last July’s promotion of Brown from that post to his current position following the death of AMC founder Stan Durwood. Ramsey joined AMC in 1995 as director of financial reporting.
AMC currently operates 210 theaters with 2,868 screens in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal, Spain and France. It has been a leader in building large state-of-the-art theater complexes in recent years.
