BERLIN — With the launch of a film production arm in Munich, Holland’s Endemol Entertainment has announced it is expanding into Germany’s TV-movie market.

The new company is set to meet the growing demand for live-action television programming and will be concentrating on made-for-TV pics, said Wibo van de Linde, chairman of Endemol Entertainment Germany and managing director of Endemol Filmproduktion.

Revenge pic in progress

Director Ben Verbong is currently helming Endemol’s first project in Prague for commercial web ProSieben. “Lieber boeser Weihnachtsmann,” a co-production with Novamedia, follows an ex-con looking to pay back the reporter who ruined his life. Miroslav Nemec, Rufus Beck and Jennifer Nitsch star.
