Prolific telepic producer Bonnie Raskin’s next project for NBC will be “The Spring,” a supernatural thriller starring Kyle MacLachlan and Alison Eastwood.
Pic stars MacLachlan as a man who discovers a small town where the residents have become dependent on a water source that keeps them miraculously young. Eastwood (“Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”) plays a town doctor who becomes romantically involved with MacLachlan’s character.
“The Spring” is skedded for broadcast on NBC during the upcoming.
Raskin, a five-year Peacock vet who’s produced 11 pics for the net, is producing “The Spring” as part of an overall multiyear deal with NBC Studios. Other Raskin pics slated for this season include the Yasmine Bleeth starrer “Road Rage” and a music-based romance still in the early stages of development.
Past Raskin projects for NBC include “She Fought Alone,” a 1995 pic about teen sex harassment; “Her Last Chance,” which tackled female alcoholism; and “The Tempest,” starring Peter Fonda.
MacLachlan is repped by ICM. Eastwood is managed by Industry Entertainment.
