ProSieben gets OK for news channel

B'cast to air in January

BERLIN — ProSieben’s planned 24-hour news channel has been given a greenlight by the Bavarian media regulator (BLM).

N24 is set to go on the air in January and was granted a broadcasting license for eight years by the BLM.

The news channel had already been OK’d by the DLM, a body made up of leaders of the country’s various state regulators.

ProSieben’s head of news programming, Ulrich Ende, is set to become N24’s managing director.
