Prince plans paparazzi doc

Edward recruits Cruise, Pitt for Ardent TV project

LONDON — Edward Windsor, better known as Prince Edward, has recruited top Hollywood stars to participate in a documentary on the paparazzi being made by the his TV company, Ardent Prods.

Provisionally titled “Stalkarazzi,” the show will reportedly feature both Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt and will contain a controversial section on the death of Princess Diana.

In the U.K., the queen’s youngest son is regularly taken to task for using his royal connections to further his TV ambitions, like, for example, his documentary on the Queen Mother he will make for NBC.

In the past, Windsor said he would not rely on his royal lineage or use himself as a presenter to help sell a program, but in practice he has done both.

Nonetheless, Ardent has yet to turn a profit after six years in business. In 1998, the company posted a loss of $230,000 on sales of $680,000. The TV company currently has 20 programs in development, most for the U.S. market.
