After receiving its highest rating for a TV special this season with the Mrs. America Pageant, Paxnet executives have entered into a three-year television deal for exclusive broadcast rights to the event, beginning in September.
The beauty pageant’s creator and exec producer, David Marmel, said the event will be taped in Hawaii on Sept. 14 to air Sept. 25 and 26. Jeff Androsky will helm the production for the fifth consecutive year.
The 23rd annual event features the winners of statewide competitions from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. This year’s production will involve twelve days of pre-taping and interviews with the judges before the final evening gown and swimsuit competition.
