Oxygen gives a go to ‘Girl in Picture’

Hohnen, Platt to produce series

NEW YORK — Geraldine Laybourne’s Oxygen net has greenlit a movie-themed series called “The Girl in the Picture.”

Juliette Hohnen, the former L.A. bureau chief for MTV News, has been signed to executive produce the show alongside veteran producer Polly Platt.

The show, which will feature interviews with film actresses, is skedded to premiere in February; it will air on Friday and Saturday nights. Oxygen launches Feb. 2.

No host has been set for the series.

Hohnen’s resume includes the TNT series “Rough Cut,” where she was chief correspondent-feature editor.

From 1990-93, she oversaw the production of MTV’s movie specials, hosting these shows until 1995.

Hohnen will continue her role as the West Coast editor of Britain’s Tatler Magazine.
