Oprah Winfrey will deliver the keynote address at the 30th annual New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards on April 17, the nonprofiter announced Thursday.
Winners for the 2000 event will be announced in January. Previous honorees include Meryl Streep, Toni Morrison, Tina Brown, Maureen Dowd, Katie Couric, Mary Ellen Mark and Rosie O’Donnell, all of whom are NYWICI members.
Event, which typically draws 1,200 attendees, is the yearly fundraiser for the 70 year-old, 750-member org dedicated to promoting the interests of women professionals in the fields of advertising, entertainment, photography, new media, public relations and broadcast and print journalism.
