Fox will bench the struggling drama “Millennium” for the summer months, filling its Friday 9-10 p.m. slot with reruns of the latenight sketch comedy series “Mad TV” as of June 4.
There’s no official word on whether the Chris Carter skein will return for a fourth season in the fall. “Mad TV” also will air in its regular Saturday 11 p.m. slot during the summer.
In other summer sked changes, Fox will turn Wednesday into movie night as of June 9, putting “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Party of Five” on the shelf until new segs are ready to roll in late summer-early fall.
Once “Melrose Place” signs off with its finale this month, the Monday 8-9 p.m. void will be filled with back-to-back doses of the sitcom “That ’70s Show,” both new and rerun segs.
