NEW YORK — “Norm” exec producer Bruce Helford continues to beef up the cast of his sophomore sitcom.
The latest addition to the Norm Macdonald laffer is former “Murphy Brown” star Faith Ford, who’s signed on as a guest star for the first six segs of the show’s second season, which starts Sept. 22. Ford will play a probation officer and a potential love interest for Macdonald’s character.
Five-time Emmy nominee Ford is best known for playing anchor Corky Sherwood on “Murphy.” She starred last season in the CBS sitcom “Maggie Winters.”
As previously reported, Nicki Cox (“Unhappily Ever After”) has signed on to do a season on “Norm,” while Artie Lange (“MADtv”) has joined the cast of the show full-time.
