Fox, E! prepping with pre-shows

Like for most major awards, E! Entertainment Network takes to the airwaves early on Sept. 12 with 10 hours of live coverage while Fox will offer a one-hour pre-show.

Beginning at noon (live on the East Coast, delayed on the West Coast), E! will begin the Emmy festivities as Dagney Hultgreen, Michael Castner, Steve Kmetko and Jules Asner tackle hard-hitting Emmy questions and profiles before handing the mics over to the fashion queens, Joan and Melissa Rivers. The mother-daughter team, along with Emmy author Tom O’Neil, will interview guests arriving at the Shrine just before the doors close and the kudocast begins.

On the network side, Fox’s one-hour pre-show show will begin at 7 p.m. At press time, there was no word on the format of the show but will most likely include profiles on nominees and a look back at Emmys past.
