LAS VEGAS — Caesars Palace has inked a deal with WB Television to serve as the exclusive backdrop for the new TV series “The Strip,” the first skein in several years to be based solely in Vegas.
The one-hour weekly program concerns two former Las Vegas cops who form a hip security team for a wealthy casino owner.
The show stars Sean Patrick Flanery and Guy Torry as the security team, and Joe Viterelli as casino owner Cameron Greene. Filming started at the resort casino this week.
Caesars is no stranger to TV production crews. Recent episodes of “The Drew Carey Show” and “Friends” lensed at the Stripside resort.
Produced by Silver Films in association with WB Television, “The Strip” is skedded to debut Oct. 12 on UPN. The netlet has ordered 13 episodes.
Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the series will be exec produced by Joel Silver, Gough and Millar. Ken Horton and Gil Adler will serve as co-exec producers.
