Artists Television Group has optioned David Marlett’s TV drama “The Company Firm,” based on Marlett’s own experiences as a lawyer recruited by the CIA.
Story follows how the life of a young country attorney changes as he becomes involved with the policies of the government agency.
Marlett, a former Texas-based lawyer, will serve as writer, producer and consultant on the series.
“The Company Firm” is the fourth project Marlett has sold recently. Last month his feature “Of Kings and Cowboys” was bought by Immi Pictures; he’ll also produce the film through his Broadsword Pictures. Marlett is currently securing financing and finishing casting on his next project, “MansLaughter,” which he is also set to direct.
ATG is the television production venture affiliated with Artists Management Group.
Marlett is repped by AMG and Renaissance Talent & Literary Agency.
