ATAS partners with Fox, Nokia on TV violence

Public service initiative unveils at Emmycast

Fox Broadcasting Co., the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Nokia will join forces on a public service initiative to be announced on the Emmycast Sept. 12.

The program will address recent concerns about TV’s influence on real-life violence.

Larger partnership

The initiative is part of a larger marketing partnership worked out between Nokia, ATAS and News Corp. One, the marketing coordinator for News Corp. companies, including Fox, which will air the Emmys.

Under the alliance, Nokia promotions will be coordinated with other Fox programming and News Corp.-owned TV Guide.
