ABC has inked a talent holding deal with young actress Alicia Morton, the star of this past weekend’s “Wonderful World of Disney” remake of “Annie.”
The 12-year-old spent the last three years co-starring in the Broadway version of “Les Miserables” as the young Cosette.
The Louisiana native has also appeared in regional productions such as “The Sound of Music” and “The King and I.”
The seventh-grader attends New York’s Professional Performing Arts School and is repped by the William Morris Agency.
Disney’s “Annie,” one of the centerpieces of ABC’s November sweeps strategy, also starred Victor Garber, Kathy Bates and Alan Cumming. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron produced the TV musical.
